Sheela na Gigs are ancient symbols carved into stone lintels and walls all around Ireland. They represent the fierceness and power of women's generative ability. This includes and encompasses fertility, but goes beyond fertility in my mind to be the root of all creativity and creation. Wearing her makes me feel in tune with raw female power.
